Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said on Wednesday his
government would take steps to reduce VAT on petrol and
diesel in order to minimise the impact of today's hike in
petroleum products.
A
statement issued by the Chief Minister's office said if the
VAT is reduced on petrol and diesel, consumers would get the
much-needed releif from the hike.
