Kerala - GST from middle of next fiscal     

Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac has said that the State government hopes to implement the proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST) from the middle of the next financial year.

Speaking to the media during the release of the Malayalam version of the GST proposals here on Monday, the Minister said the government had prepared an approach paper for implementing the proposals drawn up by the Union Government.

Before implementation, discussions would be held with the stakeholders, including traders, in Kozhikode on December 17, Kochi on December 21 and Thiruvananthapuram on December 22.
