Punjab Traders Board holds demonstration against VAT
forms
The Punjab Traders Board held a demonstration against
the VAT form 23 and 24 on Monday. The protesters Sunil
Mehra, Mahendra Aggarwal, Kamal Gupta, Dr Harish Kapila,
Jatinder Singh Gilhotra, Indrapal Singh, Rajesh Gupta,
Kasturi Lal Mittal stated that the Sales Tax Department
is trying to astray the government and the traders by
making irrelevant changes in the policies.
This in turn has provoked the traders to come out on the
streets for demonstration.
The Chief Minister is the person taking care of the department while the traders
are accused of being corrupt, the protesters added. The false laws and policies
are being used to terrorize the traders.
The Traders add up to Rs 13 crores in the State Treasury.
