Andhra Pradesh order on tax sops to SEZs soon

The Andhra Pradesh Government will issue orders providing for a wide range of tax exemptions being sought by the developers of special economic zones soon. “The Andhra Pradesh Special Economic Zones Bill has been sent to the Centre. Meanwhile, we are taking all measures to address the requests from SEZ developers. The orders providing for exemption of VAT and stamp duty, among others, will be issued very shortly,” Mr Sam Bob, Principal Secretary, State Dept of Industries and Commerce, said at the ‘SEZ Forum’ here.
